You’ll find a wide variety of props, chairs and other interesting goodies to photograph with. From contemporary to old and rustic - masculine to feminine - formal to fun - a little or a lot. It all becomes a fairly personal thing.
We incorporate items that are a reflection of you or your family whenever props or chairs are used - keeping the focus where it belongs - on you.

Outdoor Settings

With 2 acres, this is a never ending progression of sets. They tend to change from year to year based on new finds and developments. Yard art is the term we’ve adopted and seems to fit well.
Surrounding and near us are wheat, corn or bean fields in any given growing season. Or, perhaps you have a special someplace in mind to incorporate into your outdoor images. Let us know if we can help preplan your outdoor session.
Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. Each season brings it’s own flavor to the outdoor palate.

Lighting Effects

Gobos, fog, spotlights - are some of the fun lighting techniques that can be used to add a little extra personality to a portrait. Or, maybe some good old fashioned 40’s style direct lighting. In any fashion lighting is the one key element in any photograph that can make you truly shine.
We keep a large variety of gobos on hand, but if there’s a special wish on your list - let us know! We may be able to have it ordered in just for your session!

Backgrounds

There is a wide range of backgrounds that we’ve accumulated over the years. From trendy to classic the backgrounds we’ve selected to work with tend to stand the test of time.
Muslin and canvas are painted backdrops that create a theme or effect in a visual way that ranges from subtle to loud. They add a sense of texture to a portrait and are excellent in color or black and white or sepia tones.
The solids are backgrounds made from paper or vinyl and are far more smooth in appearance. Bright colors, muted colors, white and black. Throw a gobo or colored light onto the solid background and we have another dimension of all together. Or, drape some fabric for a soft and tender feel. Versatile. Gotta love the solids.
